About Me

Martin Lukac

I am an AI practitioner and researcher focused on the reliability and safety of agentic systems. My work sits at the intersection of engineering and social science, building systems that are not only technically capable but also socially responsible.

Currently, I am AI Lead at Flank, where we are building autonomous agents for legal workflows. I also co-founded Sentra, an AI-powered mental health companion. I maintain PsySafe, an open toolkit for mental health crisis detection and response in conversational AI.

My background is in Computational Social Science, with a focus on causal inference, social network analysis, and machine learning. This informs my approach to AI deployment—viewing these systems not in isolation, but as parts of complex human environments.

Core Principles

Deployed Clarity

Systems should be transparent in their operation and failure modes. Ambiguity in high-stakes AI is a safety risk.

Human-Centric Agency

AI agents should amplify human capability, not replace human judgment in critical loops.
